LM libel appeal letter

This is an appeal for your support! As the current March issue of LM explains, ITN are suing the magazine for libel.

The 'offending' article by Thomas Deichmann in February's edition of LM led IT to demand that every issue of that magazine be pulped. This was an attempt by ITN at stopping people reading LM's story about their award-winning pictures of a Bosnian camp. LM answered this outrageous attempt at gagging the magazine by ensuring more copies of LM were sold than ever. Now IT is trying to silence LM by suing for libel.

Libel is a censorship law that the rich can hire to stitch up their critics. We need your help to defend press freedom in fighting this unprecedented attack by a media giant. We need money and public support. LM will need £100,000s to cover legal costs before the case even gets to court.
