Anniversaries
The papers marked dates: the centenaries of Marx's death and Trotsky's birth, ten years since the coup in Chile, twenty since British troops went onto the streets of Northern Ireland, the bicentenary of the French Revolution. They are gathered here by the last digit of the year in which the event happened, because that is the digit its round anniversaries fall on. Within a group, the dates run in calendar order.
Only texts that mark a date are listed, not those that mention one in passing. Each date was checked against the text; where the text counts from a different date, the note says so.
